WARNING BEFORE READING THIS POEM:

This poem is meant to poke fun at the complete differences between men and women.  I am not in any way putting men down–just poking a little fun :) 

It could bring a laugh or two out of you..

Ever wonder why women and girls go out on all of those outings,
And not take you?

Do you know why we get away to be on our own to browse as we please?
As I raise my hand, I shout…I do!

As the women admire art crafted jewelry, delicate painted stained glass, or amusing little trinkets,
The man would stop and complain…
And he then would ask the awaiting questions…

“How much longer?
We’re looking where?
“Oh boy,” as the man would sigh restlessly under his breath.

In a group of girls, we compare, take notes, and mesmerize over our favorite items.
We laugh, giggle, and appear to be carefree.
So the price was a little too high-but OH-it was so worth it!

But honey, I know, that if you were there,
You’d gently take it away and say.
“Sorry, but not today.”
Or you would worry about the price and the money.
And look at me as if I were a small child and just shake your head.

When it’s the girls,
We like to take our time, because this is “our time.”
And if someone needs a restroom break-
Well then it’s a party for all!

But honey, again-I do apologize.
Sometimes when we are with the man-
We may not get to go at all!
Men can’t understand why one must use the restroom-that often!

Don’t get women wrong.
We all adore men.
And of course we love our husbands and boyfriends.
We enjoy your companionship and charming love.

But this time-do go ahead and put your feet up.
Watch the ball game, and order that pizza and barbeque wings.

After all-you wouldn’t want us there to complain about the game and food crumbs now would you?
